Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre: Durban, 25-29 April 2012
After a decade of entertaining VIPs, celebrities, corporates, radio and TV audiences the world class entertainer will finally make his theatre show debut in Durban. Dubbed the “James Bond of Magic” by the media, his suave style and professionalism has earned Mo Magic numerous features in TV, radio, newspaper and magazines locally and abroad. His easy personality is often sought after to consult with other magicians and support theatre productions. As a young leader in the field of magic, he has headed the Magic Lodge of South Africa and is a respected member of the South African Magical Society.
Mo Magic intends to not only amaze you, but to reveal “the amazing you”. Expect to be entertained and enlightened, knowing that you too can live your dreams. He uses his personal experience as well as his passion and talent for the art of magic to share empowering secrets that have transformed his life allowing him to “live his passion & enjoy the magic within it”.
He says, “I am excited to share my “Amazing You!” production with local, national and international audiences and am certain that they will enjoy the magic and be delighted with the powerful life-enriching insights presented. When we are true to ourselves and follow our passion, we see the Magic of Life reveal itself, and we continue to prosper thereby creating the quality of life we choose for ourselves.” The core message of the show is “Be true to yourself, follow your passion and live your dreams.”
During a period of self-discovery whilst completing a degree in electronic engineering, Mo Magic uncovered his interest in magic. Applying his life-lessons, the fascination soon developed into a passion as he leapt from beginner to amateur then turned professional while working as an engineer for Toyota South Africa. After balancing his engineering and magic careers for six and a half years, Mo Magic decided to focus exclusively on entertainment.
His 90 minute performance showcases his favourite’s effects and routines from the past decade. Audiences can expect to be left spellbound as the showman elegantly demonstrates his superb skill with charm in the production. He invites audiences to witness the impossible in an unprecedented ‘edu-taining’ show featuring sleight of hand, mind reading, metal bending, illusion, psychology and audience participation.
Mo Magic’s highlights of 2011 include his feature on SABC 3’s “Top Billing” TV show, named by international publication “Gulf News” as “Top of the Charts” in South Africa and “The 2011 Cricket World Cup Experiment” on East Coast Radio, where at the quarter finals stage of the tournament, Mo Magic correctly predicted the two teams to meet in the final, the winning team, winning margin and the man of the tournament.
