The infamous Johhnny’s

Sunrise Chip ‘n Ranch (aka Johnny’s) is a stalwart of Durban nightlife cuisine where if you stand outside the doors long enough, everyone in Durban will pass by at some point! Open all day and most of the night, offering “triple chip ‘n cheese roti’s” and Durban’s own “bunnychow”, Johnny’s is perfect for lunch time office order runs and late night after party munchy fest’s! Johnnhy’s is not a restaurant, it’s a gritty take-away situated in a part of town not known for it’s high-brow dining experience, Johnny’s offers a fantastic and authentic dining experience that real Durban’ites know and love!

Sunrise Chip ‘n Ranch is one of the legendary eating places in Durban. Their food is so cheap. They are open all hours. All the surfers know that Jonny’s is the place to go for a bunnie at any time.
And almost every time I’m there I see them giving food to the droves of homeless people who come to the window.
