Durban’s second annual Easter Comedy and Music Festival

This Easter weekend don’t sit at home. Come enjoy soulful music, thought provoking poetry, loads of laughs and wholesome family fun at Durban’s second annual Easter Comedy and Music Festival – its music and comedy for the whole family. Now in its second year the Easter Comedy and Music Fest is an enjoyable night of poetry and music and will be topped off with comedy from some of KwaZulu-Natal’s finest comedians. No swearing or sexual innuendo means you and your children can have a laugh at what’s funny about life without you having to block their ears.

The show will again be hosted by comedy award winner Arnotte Payne. Payne is one of the most talented singers and comedians in KwaZulu-Natal. His understanding of South African culture and church relationships and politics is sure to make you laugh at stuff that usually makes you angry.

Other comedians include Carvin H Goldstone who has been described as the cleanest comic in South Africa. Carvin’s use of the English language and his acute eye for comedy in everyday life is sure to leave you both astounded and in tears with laughter.

Neil Green – now somewhat of a Durban comedy legend. Neil is from the new school of stand up comics who think out of the box. Neil is well read and intelligent and his comedy shows this. He’s a regular on the Durban comedy circuit and has massive crossover appeal.

Pietermaritzburg songstress Eden Toheey will be debuting her unique style of music at the fest. Multitalented singer/ rapper CelstialMic will also be making his Festival debut.

The star of last year’s fest Tswi – The Poet is also back. Tswi has been riding high since releasing his debut poetry album titled Just Jesus Poetry. He has also recently partnered with local gospel music mogul Swazi Dlamini and her Swazitainment entertainment company.
